Helping CGI to close the gender gap.

The outline.

CGI is a global business providing transformational digital services and consultancy to an impressive roster of commercial and government clients. With over 40 years of company growth, CGI bring formidable knowledge and experience of systems integration, infrastructure, outsourcing and IP and legacy solutions. Of their 77,000 global experts, 6,000 are based in the UK.

We worked with CGI to deliver an inspiring campaign encouraging more women to apply for roles with the company and consider STEM careers.

The challenge.

With diversity and inclusion as a core value, CGI are extremely active in encouraging the next generation of women into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) careers.

Driven by CGI’s own Women’s Network, they wanted to create a campaign that inspired more women to apply for roles at CGI and showcase career opportunities at all levels.

The solution.

LEAP worked closely with CGI Women’s Network and recruitment team to create a campaign called “Shining a spotlight” allowing women working at CGI to tell their career stories.

The fully integrated campaign was launched on International Women’s Day in March 2020, spearheaded by a film that featured women from across the CGI at various stages of their career – from intern to president.

We created social media posts; images and short video snippets, as well as a number of blog posts to drive people to a dedicated landing page created within the client’s existing CRM.

A downloadable and print infographic brochure showcased the initiatives CGI and the network have developed to support women in STEM and we also created posters and pull-up banners for the CGI offices nationally to promote the campaign and celebrate International Women’s Day.

The results.

The campaign achieved some great coverage on social media:

  • 240% increase on last year’s IWD posts
  • 3K views on our ‘Spotlight on the women of CGI’ video

CGI saw:

  • 96% increase in female visitors to the CGI website quarter on quarter
  • 30% increase in female visitors to the CGI careers website quarter on quarter
